What is a brand audit?

I've always had a passion for business, even when I was little. I was always coming up with little schemes and business ideas to make money and "just for fun" in middle school, okay, and even in high school, I would make websites for pretend businesses and come up with business plans and everything for those fake companies. I took a business class in high school and one of our assignments was to work with a partner to create a fake company and build a business plan and website for it. I was in heaven. My friend and I called our business Cupcakes & Vintage and it was a brick and mortar that sold, you guessed it, cupcakes and vintage clothing. We even found a building in Lancaster City that was for sale and drew up floor plans for it and everything. Needless to say, we went above and beyond and it was my favorite project in high school.

I had so much fun developing my brand, Little City Adventures. Working on my own brand has helped me to grow my branding skills and through my obsessive amount of research, I would say I have become quite the expert on branding and selling to your ideal customer.

What is a Brand Audit?
Simply put, a brand audit is a review of your brand. I go through and look at every little detail associated with your brand and give you my thoughts on how it's working or why it's not. I'll also give you resources to help you improve the areas that I think could use a little extra attention. I do not sugar coat my thoughts. If your website looks out of date, I will tell you just that. This is your business and it's time to get serious.

Why You Need A Brand Audit
Every brand needs to have an audit done at least once a year, whether you do it yourself or hire someone, like me, to do it for you, to be sure that your brand is still focused in the right direction and appealing to your ideal customer. You may also seek a brand audit if you do not feel 100% happy with your brand or if you are not seeing any growth in your company.

Hiring someone, like me, to do your brand audit will give you the outside perspective that you need to help build your brand. It's scary to give someone the rights to dive deep into your brand's guts and tell you what is or isn't working, we work so hard on our brands, they become a part of us. I've had people look through my site on live workshops before and gave me feedback, that everyone else who was watching could see and hear, and some of the feedback hurt my feelings for like five minutes. Then, I realized that they were so right. I fixed what they recommended and almost immediately saw an increase in traffic. If I never received that third party view of my brand, I wouldn't have had that increase in traffic.

Every brand and company needs to grow as the seasons change, a brand audit will help you identify the areas that are still a bit lacking. Hire me to do a brand audit and I will help you avoid or fix the lapses in growth.
